What is Flovent Diskus, and how is it used?
Flovent Diskus is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Asthma. Flovent Diskus may be used alone or with other medications.
Flovent Diskus belongs to a class of drugs called Corticosteroids, Inhalants.
It is not known if Flovent Diskus is safe and effective in children younger than 4 years of age.
What are the possible side effects of Flovent Diskus?
Flovent Diskus may cause serious side effects, including:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- weakness,
- tiredness,
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- lightheadedness,
- wheezing,
- choking,
- breathing problems after using the medicine,
- blurred vision,
- tunnel vision,
- eye pain,
- seeing halos around lights,
- worsening of your asthma symptoms,
- fever,
- cough,
- stomach pain,
- weight loss,
- skin rash,
- severe tingling,
- numbness,
- chest pain,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- clay-coloured stools, and
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
Get medical help immediately if you have any of the symptoms listed above.
The most common side effects of Flovent Diskus include:
- stuffy nose,
- sneezing,
- sore throat,
- sinus pain,
- low fever,
- cough,
- wheezing,
- chest pain,
- hoarseness,
- deepened voice,
- white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips,
- headache,
- nausea,
- vomiting, and
- upset stomach
